The workshop is part of the international cultural project Theaterin 1 car, co-funded by the European Union and in which we partnered with the Independent Theatre from Hungary and Mikser Theatre from Serbia. The Theaterin1car project focuses on creating sustainable performances in which two actors play multiple roles and fit into a car.
Here’s what you can experience at the 5-day workshop in Budapest:
- How to create a theater performance with two actors who play multiple roles?
- How to avoid the stereotypical representation of rural communities and diverse social groups in the performance with socially conscious art practices?
- How to create eco-friendly and cost-efficient props, costumes and scenery, which can fit in a car, and can be easily transported during slow-tours?
- How to plan and implement follow-up community creative actions and discussions reflecting on the topics of the performance in relation to the life of local community members?
