Full house at the first show of (UP)ROOTING / (DEZ)RĂDĂCINARE, produced as part of the international cultural project Theater in 1 car.
(UP)ROOTING / (DEZ)RĂDĂCINARE is about where we came from, where we’ve arrived, who we were, who we are, who we want to be and where we are heading. About how we understand to connect or reconnect with a place that many of us have forgotten, from which most of us trace our roots and where, for sure it was born the humour, the tragi-comic, the fatalism, the fatalism, the eternity and the habit of greeting politely and reflexively anyone who passes by on the road.
What is unique about the Theaterin1car approach? Two actors with multiple roles, a concept that is ecological and able to be easily moved and presented directly in the local communities that inspired our stories.
The show will be performed in ten rural communities in the region, in Romania, Serbia and Hungary. Stanciova, Curtea, Jimbolia, Bethausen, Dumbrava, Otelec, Chevereșu Mare and Teregova will be the local destinations.
